When life slows down it's a great time to slow down along with it.
Currently with the pandemic we're in the middle of we pretty much have no choice but to hit the pause button on the life we've been living up till now. A massive collective rest for those of us privileged enough to be able to shelter-in-place in safety.
This is a great time to take a break from the hectic non-stop world that we've all been part of. Start noticing and appreciating the little moments, no matter how small and ordinary we may assume they are.
This is our chance to live more fully in the now, away from longing for the past or uncertainty of the future. The key to living in the now is in noticing the details of what is around you right now.

Blame it on my dreamy Piscean nature, but I feel like it's one of my super powers to be enthralled with the way light hits the living room in the afternoon, trees swaying gently in the wind, the flicker of a candle flame, water droplets creating rings on the surface of puddles and lakes, the feel of holding a smooth rock at the beach and flinging it into the ocean waves.
This is the main reason flower petals have been added to each candle since before the affirmation candle shop first launched.
There is a magic that can be felt while allowing oneself to simply watch as the petals ever slowly float in a melting pool of wax. Helping us to pause and sink into the moment in front of us, letting all our worries, fears, and what ifs melt away...
